Three varieties of lettuce from UMES greenhouses flourish in Marion soil.  The red lettuce is Beta vulgaris.

Ms. Montine Garcia-Miller Profiled

Students at the STP smile when Ms. Montine comes in the door.

Mrs. Montine Garcia-Miller is an Elementary Special Education Teacher at Somerset Transition Program(STP). She received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Political Science from Austin College. She is completing her master’s degree in Special Education Learning Disabilities from Francis Marion University. Prior to working in Somerset County, Mrs. Garcia-Miller taught Elementary Special Education in South Carolina for 3 years. .
